I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University  working on machine learning methods for processing neural data as well as investigating the neural-dynamics of internal-state driven volitional behaviour in rodents.

My main interests lie at the interface of neuroethology and machine learning and I am actively working in the following areas (and seeking collaborations):

  • neuroscience of volition and intrinsic motivations (e.g. Maslowean needs)
  • neural correlates of naturalistic maternal and social behaviour initiations
  • machine learning methods for behaviour and neural analysis
